    UK numbers beginning 070 domestically (or +44 70 from overseas) are 'personal numbers'.  These are 'virtual' numbers issued to individuals who use them to redirect them to whatever real phone(s) they wish as and when they please. For example, a person with an 070xx xxxxxx number might configure it to ring their home phone in the evening, and their mobile at other times.

    These numbers are allocated to operators for use countrywide.  They are not linked to any specific area or physical location within the UK.
