My friend just got a torn rotator cuff, well he is hospitalized nowadays, what type of treatment is done for torn rotator cuff?

    Rotary cuff surgery is recommended when your symptoms have lasted 6 to 12 months and your pain is unbearable, if You have a tear more than 3 cm in length, if you suffer from significant weakness and loss of function in your shoulder and if you went through an acute injury and you get a tear in the rotary cuff.

    Surgery for rotary cuff tears is done in three ways, whcih are.

    Open Repair: Open repair are for large tears and openings.

    All-Arthroscopic Repair: Anthroscopic repair is done with the help of a camera which goes into your body organs, this camera is known as an arthroscope, The surgeon then uses surgical instruments to repair the tears with guide from the camera.

    Mini-Open Repair: Mini open repair is for minor tears from 3cm to 5cm.
