trying to deactivate an account that I cannot access

There is another person on FB with my name as well and I am not sure if this account was created by them or not. I cannot access the account in order to delete it. I want all accounts associated with my personal information that was provided to facebook to be permenently deleted. I don't want to have to join FB just to be able to resolve this matter.
