    Alpha Phi is a sorority and was founded at Syracuse University by Martha Foote Crowe on September 18, 1872, when she was visiting her friends Clara Sittser Williams and Kate Hog boom Gilbert in their room at Syracuse University. It is a sisterhood of outstanding women supporting one another in lifelong achievement.
   
   The sisterhood of Alpha Phi stretches from coast to coast through 152 collegiate campuses and more than 200,000 members.  Sisters share a commitment to excellence and a strong desire to help one another and their communities.  
   
   I do not think that as an outsider you should be asking this question as the sisterhood is sacred and only the members of the Alpha Phi Sorority have access to their secrets, rules and values.
