what can spotting 8days before my period mean?

my partner and i are trying for a baby and i'm always due exactly 28days. however, tis time around i've been spotting today and i'm not sure what this can be?
Any advise

    Hi,
    That sounds like it could be ovulation with mid-cycle spotting. The timing is right (some women ovulate late) and oftentimes, pms symptoms, like the ones you're describing, start shortly thereafter...

    Don't worry too much - it sounds like ovulation to me.
