   HI,
   The Browning .22 Auto you have is fairly collectable. All depends on originality and condition. Also, the gun was offered in several different grades from standard (blue finish with light engraving) to heavily engraved with coin finish receiver and exhibition quality wood. Would need to see pictures of the gun to correctly estimate value.
   
   As for the shooting contest trophy thing, that could be good or bad. If the gun was some sort of special presentation award from a nationally recognized organization (with provenance) it can help. If it is trophy-shop engraved "TO BOB, WINNER OF MOOSE LODGE 1403 TURKEY SHOOT" then it is wrecked.
