I am from Saudi arabia and I have never celebrated valentine's day before. Can anyone tell me what is the meaning of valentine's day and why do people celebrate it.

     Valentine's day is a purely Christian tradition, and those muslims who celebrate this day, commit a sin as they create a biddah in their religion by following a christian tradition. This day is celebrated to commemorate the death of a Christian saint, who was executed by a Roman emperor. As he helped the young couples in marrying secretly.
