   Hi There,
   hese names come from the climate zones first classified by Aristotle;
   - Torrid Zone: The equatorial Zone between 23.5°N and 23.5°S
   - Frigid Zone (= Polar Zone): The Arctic and Antarctic between 66.6°N or S and the poles at 90°
   - Temperate Zone: between the Tropic of Cancer or Capricorn and the Arctic Circles (23.5°N to 66.6°N and 23.5°S to 66.6°S)
   
   These are very general definitions, climate depends a lot on wind and on ocean currents, also topography. More modern classification of climate zones are defined in the 'Köppen Climate Classification' and 'Holdridge Life Zone Classification'.
