I want to know why redwood trees are mostly red in color. Is it some mineral in the soil or a chemical the tree produces? Red is not exactly a common tree color. (yes do I know a few other red trees exist, and I know redwoods age to be a more gray-brown, so no need to restate those things). Thank you for looking at my question.
