   First Thanksgiving was celebrated by  American settelers, who had to face, tough  trying time at the hands of rough climate of the new world. They were assisted by the local red Indians, who taught them the ways to grow crops. On their first harvest, they celebrated the thanksgiving dinner, and prayed to God for all his blessings.
