   TPWD has a page on the web that will tell you. just search "rut dates, tpwd", that should get you there. find your area on the map and it will give you the start, peak, and end dates. they collect info by doing autopies on does killed by autos and etc.  i've hunted in west texas, colorado city, for many years.  I have always seen and killed my best deer the first week in december. this matches what the study shows. if your in the eastern part of the Edwards Plateau, its much earlier though.  good luck!
