   Hi,
   This is a film called "Space Raiders" released in 1983.  It starred Vince Edwards as "Hawk," the pirate leader whose finds a 10 year old boy as a stowaway on his ship.  Instead of holding the boy for ransom, Hawk eventually decides to return the boy to his home, while dodging various pursuers. According to the Internet Movie Data Base, the film included some footage from the 1980 film "Battle Beyond the Stars."  It is available on DVD from Buena Vista.
