What causes a misfire in my 2001 chevy impala?

   Hi,
   the no bus signal probably came from you hooking up the tuner to the obd2 connector. is the truck running rough,is it actually misfiring on the number 2 cylinder, have you tried to clear the code and see if it returns. let me know if the code returns after you clear it. since you have access to an auto shop at school you should have the required test equipment to go to the next step after you tell me if the code returns.
