Everytime I set the grandfather clock onto the right time, it will move a little faster and it will move to advance time.

    Hi,
This is a really simple fix. Move the hour hand back one hour. Then advance the minute hand to the correct time. Important: Whenever you advance your minute hand, let the clock chime each quarter before advancing to the next quarter.
Or, put the clock on silent while you advance the minute hand.

I'll explain it another way; Your clock wants to chime ever 15 minutes. When you advance the minute hand stop at the 15, 30, 45 and at the top of the hour. Let the clock complete it's chime cycle before moving the minute hand to the next quarter.
