I like to read new about video games, when are they offered, what are the standards for this awards.

    In 1998 BAFTA recognized awards for video games during the inaugural of BAFTA Interactive Entertainment Awards. One of the first games that received the awards were Golden Eye 007, Gran Turismo. These Awards allowed the Academy to recognize new forms of entertainment that were engaging new audiences and challenging traditional expressions of creativity.
    In 2003 the awards were separated into two categories named as BAFTA Video Games Awards and BAFTA Interactive awards. In 2006, BAFTA announced their decision "to give video games equal status with film and television.
