I am based in Houston. I am just started my own business venture with my wife helping me with the accounts. Am I eligible for some insurance benefits?

Tax credits are for small business of about 25 employees. Hence you are not eligible for that. Nevertheless, you can get the benefits of a group insurance if you apply for a ‘group of one’ health plan. As your wife helps you with business, that technically makes it two people in the venture. However, the group of one is not applicable in every state and you need to find out if Texas has any such provisions. A good way to look for affordable individual and group insurance is to get quote comparisons online from web portal such as hcentive.
