The 2011 Chevrolet HHR lineup for some reasons does not offer a high-performance SS model anymore. This unique front-wheel drive compact wagon HHR is named inspired by 1950s Chevrolet Suburbans styling as "Heritage High Roof". Most HHR models have 5 seats and Chevy also offers a 2-seat Panel version targeted at businesses. Non-Panel models come in LS and 1LT trim levels; the Panel comes as the LS only. All have a 155-horsepower 2.2-liter 4-cylinder engine. Voluntary on 1LT is a 172-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder. Both these engines are capable of running on E85 ethanol-blended fuel. The high-performance SS has been discontinued. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard, and a 4-speed automatic is optional. Some of the safety features available presently include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, and curtain-side airbags. A 2LT option package for the 1LT includes the 2.4-liter engine and an uplevel audio system, wireless cell-phone link, sport suspension, 17-inch chrome wheels, and specific exterior trim. Apart from all these features, a rearview camera is also discretionary. From the buyer perspective this particular front-wheel drive compact wagon is actually for those who are very much interested in vehicles mentioned above as Heritage High Roof. For this reason, the model may and may not be exceptionally admired by the younger generation.
