Dharun Ravi should go to jail or not?

   Dharun Ravi and his friend Molly Wei, both have been accused of violating privacy of one of their fellow and an admired violinist, Tyler Clemente. The story behind the scene is that Tyler Clemente and Dharun were both roommates. One night when Dharun was hanging out with her friend Molly Wei, Tyler requested Dharun to spare the room for some time. Dharun was just trying to make sure that his room doesn’t get misused, switched on his webcam. Later on, the cam was said to have recorded Tylers’s sexual encounter with another man and it was also believed to have been webcasted by Dharun and his friend Molly. The situation further went on to worsen, when after a couple of days, Tyler Clemente committed suicide by jumping from a bridge. One thing is for sure that Dharun should not have done anything so as to violate the privacy of his roommate. Somehow, if he did so that should have been kept as a secret instead of broadcasting it to the whole world. However, Dharun should only be punished or penalized if he is proved guilty that he did all this rather intentionally. It does not seem apparent that Dharun actually wished to kill his roommate and even if then he is declared as a criminal, then the benefit of doubt is always there for him.
