   The first step for opening your account is to visit BNZ website . Do not be put off by the NAB branding and references to Australia, as part of the NAB group, the BNZ are part of a larger banking conglomerate that has branches in Australia.  Click on New Zealand, and you will then be taken directly to their New Zealand migrant banking portal. Once there, simply follow the on-screen instructions.  It is important that you have the right documentation on hand when applying. This will usually come in the form of two examples of ID to prove your identity, one of which must be photo ID.  You will be asked to print-off an application form.
