Please help. I need to assemble two images that show the appropriation of a visual artifact by one culture from another culture. I need to write a short paragraph of no more than 50 words on each, pinpointing the visual artifact that has been appropriated, and the new meaning it has in the different cultural environment. It has to be a visual image, a painting, a photo, preferably an advertisement. As per the professor, I can use Bricolage =a political movement placed in a different context to create meaning. I can use Textual Poaching=taking text from one culture and putting it into another culture to create new meaning. I can use Intertextuality=inserting one text into another. I can use Parody=a remake using prominent elements from the original to evoke memory but creating a twist usually humorous and ironic.
