Indian can get seat security council seat or not?

As president obama gave his word in his speech on visit to india that his country will support india for getting seat in security council. I just want to know that they will get seat or not?

    Now there are other countries who have to admit india's membership in security council. I don’t think that only support of america can help them in getting a seat in security council.
