   Yes, Heath Ledger won a Best Supporting Oscar for his role as the Joker in The Dark Knight.  It was awarded to him post-humously (after his death in January 2008).

   Heath Andrew Ledger (4 April 1979 – 22 January 2008) was an Australian TV and movie actor. After accomplishing functions in Australian TV and movie throughout the 1990s, Ledger shifted to the United States in 1998 to evolve his movie career. His work embraced nineteen movies, including 10 Things I Hate About You (1999), The Patriot (2000), Monster's Ball (2001), A Knight's Tale (2001), Brokeback Mountain(2005), and The Dark Knight (2008).
