Movie on HBO in early 80's

Help! I need to find out the name of this movie that was on HBO in the early 80's (1980-1984). I don't remember too much except for the last scene which depicted a helicopter rescue out of a jungle. Those in the helicopter were trying to escape some sort of monster(s) that had taken over....and the last scene showed the faces of relief until they realized that a monster had grabbed on to the bottom of the helicopter. Once the monster grabs one of the people, the scene fades to b/w and the movie ends. What the heck is this movie?

    i don't think anyone with this information would be able to help you out with movie's name... if you can remember the name of any actor. or at least describe the monster !!!
