My LG 42 inch LCD TV no sound coming out when connect to hifi ?

   I had this same problem with 40" TV.  I was told the outputs were defective by LG.  I asked what could I do about this?  I was told to contact the store I bought it from which was Best Buy.  I could get no help from Best Buy until I went into the store and caused a major scene.

   
   

   Then they sent a Tech out and confirmed yes I had no sound.  And they would go to another store and replace it at once.  The door hardly closed when the phone rang and the Manager Said we can't raid another stores inventory.  I went totally balastic.  I ended up with a Samsung which is O.K. at least it has sound.  This seems to be a recurrent problem with LG.
