My bosch hammer drill will only hammer for 3-5 seconds each time I squeeze the trigger??

Hammers then goes to drill mode after the first 3-5 second burst?

    this may be because ur hammer coil gets hot after 5 seconds nd as a safety procedure every mechanical machine stops working when its over heated but the problem is its getting over heated after 5 seconds... so ur hammers needs to be repaired probably the the coil inside ur hammer needs to be rewired
