    The Centre for Applied Research undertakes, administers and facilitates
    research and related activities.  It focuses on applied research and
    research on learning and teaching pedagogies.  Besides generating knowledge,
    the Centre aims to make a significant contribution to society (for example,
    by undertaking collaborative research projects with the industry and by
    providing training and consultancy) and to serve as an incubation centre for
    research programmes and projects, including PhD programmes.

    The Centre for Applied Research is headed by the Director of Research,
    who is assisted by Research Fellows/Associates and Administrative Officers.
