   A new gong for a “shooting star” was added to the prizes at the 2010 London Evening Standard Theatre Awards and was presented to Daniel Kaluuya for his performance in Sucker Punch at the Royal Court tonight. The judging panel decided to present the first Editor’s Award for a Shooting Star due to the “fierce” competition in the outstanding newcomer category, in which Kaluuya was originally nominated. Judge and London Evening Standard theatre critic Henry Hitchings commented: “The debate about some of the categories was really intense. The best newcomer, for example, was a really exciting category, with lots of people in different skill sets.”
