   The 48-year-old actor has been free on bail while he appeals a 2008 conviction for failing to file an income tax return. Lawyers argued he should remain free until his case is heard by the US Supreme Court next year. But a judge in Florida rejected the plea and said Snipes should start his sentence straight away. He was yesterday ordered to surrender by December 9. If he fails to do so an arrest warrant will be issued. Snipes, star of films such as Blade, is said to have earned more than £26million since 1999.
