    Referencing the then-upcoming NROL-32 launch and associated commences, Carlson said, “This is the most hard-hitting launch crusade that the National Reconnaissance Office has had in 20 years… These [satellites] are very significant, because they all proceed to revise a constellation which is aging rapidly. We acquired most of our satellites for three, five, or eight years, and we’re holding them on orbit for 10, twelve, and up to 20 years.” Carlson furthermore said then that those aging satellites “designed to vitally function throughout the era of the Soviet Union… are today managing tactical understanding assemblage that directs us to actionable understanding on awful friends every day. Every day.”
