    In accounting you must have know how of the basics of mathematics. Accounting deals with numbers, you need to be able to understand them and do some basic calculations with them such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, fractions, and percentages.  You also need to do some problem solving as accountants face a lot of problems with the numbers on paper.
