First of all it should be clear that there is no difference whatsoever between Salat Al-Fajer and Salat Al-Sabah. They are both the names used for the morning prayers that the Muslims perform in the earliest part of the day even before the run rises. Usually the time for this prayer starts by the very end of the night. This means when the night has completed its span and morning is about to break through, the time for Salat Al-Fajer starts. This Morning Prayer is two raka'at said out loud and it should be performed before the sun is about to rise. Once the sun has risen then the time for Salat Al-Fajer is no more and the prayer will become Qaza if performed with the sun started rising. The time for this prayer however varies from area to area. In some areas, where it is usually cold, the sun rises quite late. For this reason the time for the Morning Prayer also prolongs. In summer the time can right after the mid-night and remains for a very short period. It is believed amongst the Muslims that one can have the Salat Al-Fajer before the night stars on the sky vanish.
