    WLAN is a technology which allows you to connect to the Internet wirelessly (ie: without physically connecting a phone line to your laptop or PDA). This is done using WLAN equipment compliant with the IEEE802.11b standard. The Hotspot Service at Sydney Airport supports the 802.11b standard.
