   Its the 3rd generation of Internet-based services. The Web 3.0 is the third version on the internet. The modern one (2.0) can't handle much more strain before the web's infrastructure collapses so the third version is being worked on. From what I've heard it is going to have 3D capabilities. So instead of a page as a website it's going to have depth making the internet more like another world.
   Following the introduction of the phrase "Web 2.0" as a description of the recent evolution of the Web, the term "Web 3.0" has been introduced to hypothesize about a future wave of Internet innovation. Views on the next stage of the World Wide Web's evolution vary greatly, from the concept of emerging technologies such as the Semantic Web transforming the way the Web is used (and leading to new possibilities in artificial intelligence) to the observation that increases in Internet connection speeds, modular web applications, and advances in computer graphics will play the key role in the evolution of the World Wide Web.
   It is the upcoming technology after web 2.0. It is also known as "Intelligent Web", and Researches were still going on to add more features to be added on it. Enhancing the network computing will be its main goal.

   web 3.0 is just another jargon and means nothing.  there are magazine managers who sit there and think of buzz words that could be introduced.  internet is going in circle web 1, 2, 3, 4 but before you know it will be back to the basics again.
   
   basics of the internet contains, excellent content, great value and product and services that are actually required and make you a profit.  
   
   if your internet business is profitable and you have repeat visitors who keep on coming back and recommend you to others; you will always land in all the web point O's.
   
   focus on customers, growth and profit.

   well said, internet business or any business is about profits. if you are cash flow positive and growing, you will be the envy of the masses.  keep your focus on the providing great product or service to your users and there is no harm in charging for it.  
   
   
   its easier to get someone to pay once but for the repeat business you must have great product and service.
   
   too many people keep their focus on the new business, never forget your existing customers. web 3.0 or any of the latest internet offerings make it easier for you to stay connected with your users even when they are not on your site.

   In some respects, Web 3.0 is nothing more than a parlor game. Ideas tossed out here and there. But at the very least, these ideas have roots in current trends. Many companies, from HP and Yahoo! to Radar Networks, are adopting official Semantic Web standards. Polar Rose and Ojos are improving image search. Google and Microsoft are moving toward 3D. No one can predict what Web 3.0 will look like. But one thing's for sure: It'll happen.
