Loch Ness in the heart of the beautiful Highlands of Scotland. It is a lake in Scotland that holds the largest volume of freshwater in the United Kingdom, extending for approximately 37 km, southwest of Inverness. But rather than being known for its size, it is famous for the mysterious legend of the Loch Ness monster, which is also a big tourist attraction.

One other important fact about Loch Ness is that it is the second largest Scottish loch by surface area 52 ft above sea level and due to its great depth, it is the largest by volume. Its deepest point is deeper than the height of London's BT Tower and deeper than any other loch with the exception of Loch Morar. It is the largest body of water on the Great Glen Fault, which runs from Inverness in the north to Fort William in the south.
