beside getting new cloths and spending crazy money the main important aspect of eid is the charity, which all the Muslims are expected to extend to the needy. In early days we leave the charity aspect to our parents and we spend our money on things like, laptops, iphones and the latest gadgets.  The first Eid of the year is known as "Eid Ul Fitr". Ul Fitr literally means breaking of fast. Right after Ramdon most of us run back to doing the same things we were doing before only with much more desire as everything was on hold for 30 days.

The second important Eid celebration is called "Eid Ul-Adha". we call the first eid the money eid and second eid the meat eid.  Although only the pilgrims in Makkah can participate in the Hajj fully, all the other Muslims in the world join with them by celebrating Eid Ul-Adha, or "Celebration of Sacrifice." On the 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah.  Since we give meat to friends and relatives, usually we make sure its the younger brother who does the job.

for some of us; those are the only two prayers we pray and those are the only two times we take a proper shower.
