    Chipmunks are neither herbivores nor carnivores they are  Omnivores

    Omnivores are species that eat both plants and animals as their primary food source. They are opportunistic, general feeders not specifically adapted to eat and digest either meat or plant material exclusively.Pigs are one well-known example of an omnivore. Crows are another example of an omnivore that many people see every day. Humans are also omnivores.

    i heard from other websites that chipmunks are herbivores. but i dont believe that stuff because i searched that question and it said that chipmunks ate stuff like small rodents, insects, berries, fruits, and so on

    Yes, Omnivores is correct.


    Caught a mouse in a spring trap - came back later to re-set the mouse trap


    to find a chipmunk eating it.  .... YUK ! 


    I thought herbivour till I saw otherwise for myself ... now I know different.
