I have a light on my dash that looks like a box with a funnel in the top with liquid half way up. Any ideas woth this means? I drive a 2.2DTi 52 plate, it started to come on when turning left but now stops on all the time and has developed over past 4/5 months.

    Hi,
Well, I can't say that I'm at all familiar with that type of vehicle, but I may be able to help. From what you've said it sounds like the light comes on because your oil pressure is low. This could be because the idle is getting too low, a worn oil pump, or worn bearings in the motor. If you can, I would purchase an aftermarket oil pressure gauge and install it, unless your car already has one. I hope this points you in the right direction, good luck!

Check the coolant level for the engine, it is probably low, also keep an eye on engine temp whils you are driving as this would be an indication to a coolant problem

The internal lights on the heater panel of my Vauxhall Vectra SRI 2006 keep flashing on and off.  I have noticed that the flashing stops when the headlights are turned off, however once the headlights are back on the flashing starts and the heater does not work.  Has anyone any suggestions?

A box with a funnel in the top with liquid half way up, is the coolant warning light.

One car with a spanner on it, is the service required light.
