   No, why would you actually think that your child support payments would go down? You think that just because your expenses have gone up that you shouldn't have to pay as much child support? I don't think so! You made a baby with your ex. and it's your responcibility to pay support untill that child has reached the legal age at which you would stop paying support, depending on which state the child is in. The only way that you would be able to decrease your child support payments is if your pay check has decreased by a certain percentage as determined by the state that the child lives in. I know in some states it an approx. 20-30% decrease in pay before a judge will change the child support order. Now I certainly wouldn't go and work less hours just to pay less child support because you'd only be hurting yourself and your other child in the end.
