dynex tv cable

I've got my cable hooked straight into the back of my Dynex Tv, but everytime i try to auto program for it to scan for channels, it comes up with nothing. am i missing something?

Hi,
Reboot the PC while it is connected to the TV.
Do you see the BIOS boot? If yes, cable is OK, if not, something is wrong.

After that, make sure the PC Display is set to a value supported by your TV - Start with basic VGA resolution and move up.

HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM BUT ITS NOT MY COMPUTER IT MY TV SO TELL ME HOW WILL IT HELP TO REBOOT MY PC , I JUST WANT TO HOOK THE CABLE TO THE TV I DONT NEED THE COMPUTER ANYONE ONE ELSE GOT A BETTER IDEA.
