how do you remove ignition switch from 89 ford ranger

how do you remove ignition switch from 89 ford ranger, have been having difficulty turning key on for some time  and now can not turn it. not sure where the poke hole is located on the steering colum.

    Hi,
    If you have the key-there may be a poke hole underneath the column. Get a flashlight and look for it. Depress the poke hole while the ignition is in the "run" position. Otherwise,you can purchase an "Able" or other similar tool to force the ignition on and then remove it.Using the force tool will damage the side bar and you will have to replace the ignition lock.These tools are available from Locksmasters
