I am new in liverpool and I don't know how the english people says happy new to each other.

     English people use British English so you should not worry about how to say happy new year to them, They can understand when you will say happy new year to them. They usually say happy new year to each other at 12o' clock, and celebrate it in a very impressive manner. They arrange big parties, exchanes gifts and give beautiful cards to their friends and family.
