My mom told me that it is customary to cook Turkey on thanksgiving day. Can anyone tell me that how much turkey is eaten each year on thanksgiving day.

     More than 232 million were consumed in the United States in 2008. They estimate that 46 million of those turkeys were eaten at Thanksgiving, 22 million at Christmas and 19 million at Easter.
