how to find hole in inflatable ring for easy set pool & patching the hole

I found a small-pin sized hole & patched it with a stick on patch for vinyl innertubes but it still won't hold air. The patch seems to be fitting perfectly-not sure if there's another hole or if that patch won't work.

    Take a sponge and put some mild soap on it and put it on the ring. Where the hole is will bubble with the soap making the hole apparent.
