    Hi,
    To be able to record your VRC/DVD will have to have it's input hooked up to the cable system, eather by RF connector or the analog audio/video connectors. If you put a splitter on the cable you can hookup the and get all on the non preminum channels, but record the premimum channels you wil have to hookup to the output of the cable box.
