   i have a sanyo vpc-1400 digital with a system error and clicking noise and the lens doesn't what to close please help i just bought it a month ago and lost the receipt

   i have the same problem =(
   i called the sanyo company and they told me that they couldnt do anything unless i had the receipt.. plus if i did wanted fixed, they would charge me $125 which is more than what i payed for it...

   I have the same camera and I keep getting "System Error" when taken more then 3 photos on this 8GB memory card. If I take the memory card off, the built memory have no problem, I get 0 error. I only get it once that memory card is inserted, which makes me wonder, is is a default with the camera itself or perhaps the memory card is a fake card causing this system error. I could be a possiblity, I bough this card on ebay. Someoned needs to have a solution?? anyoned.

   These cameras were discontinued due to the system error messages. They completely disable the camera and for every little thing they get the error. What a shame, it was a good camera but only lasted a year.

   I have the same problem, my camera was knocked out of my hands, and now the lens will not open or shut completely. If I try to turn it on it says system error. I can't figure out how to fix it!:(
