intertherm electic furnace does not turn on

   There can be several reasons for the non functioning of intertherm electic furnace, therefore make sure that  your thermostat is properly  turned on to either Heat, or Auto. It should be on one of these settings for the heat to come on. Set the temperature  to at least 3 or 4 degrees below the room temp. Check the breakers or fuses for the furnace, sometimes the heating, and cooling parts are on separate circuits. If the fan that circulates the air is running check to see if the heating element is heating up. You can tell, because it will turn orange, like the element in an electric oven. If not, check to see if it has an obvious break, or crack in the element.
