removing stereo in 1994 GMC truck

I'm trying to replace my stock stereo.  do I have to take out the whole dash?

    Hi,
    Attached to the parcel shefl n wired them from there n my dad made sum girlls to put over them so its looks real nice and smart.
    Hope it helps
