A friend at school told me happy Eid day. I have never heard this word before. Anyone knows what eid day is.

    Eid is a three day Muslim holiday that celebrated at the end of Ramadan, the Islamic  holy month of fasting. Eid  is an Arabic word meaning "festivity",  and so the holiday celebrates the conclusion of the thirty days of dawn to sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadan is called "Eid ul Fitr"
    "Festival of Sacrifice" or "Greater Eid" is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Hazrat Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Hazrat Ishmael as an act of obedience to God.
