   Toyota Avensis is a large family sedan which is built in United Kingdom, under the brand name of Toyota since 1997. It follows the series of Carina E that has a four door saloon, five door liftback and estate as well. There is a large MPV which is called Toyota Avensis Verso, it was built in Japan on the separate platform. The Avensis is the basis for the youth oriented Scion tC, which is produced for the US market.  The third generation of Toyota Avensis was reveled at the 2008 Paris Motor show, before going on to sale in January 2009.
   
   Initially Toyotas Avensis was designed by giving it a much more sleek and athletic stance. The Coefficient of drag figures are 0.28 for the sedan and 0.29 for the wagon body. Some of the other design goals were to create the most comfortable suspension in its class while it also offers the sporty handling. The Toyota Avensis continues to use the front McPherson and the rear double wishbones. Unlike the old models there is no five door hatchback available in this line up. Other options available that are available include the bi-Xenon HID headlamps, Adaptive Front lighting System and also the adaptive cruise control.
   
   The Avensis comes up with three petrol engines and it also has the diesel options. These new engines feature more power and also lower CO2 emissions.
