Generally speaking, it is not quite possible for any car manufacturing company to manufacture cars in all possible colours. This is mainly because not all the colours are liked or appreciated by users. For this reason Chevrolet has grouped its available car colors into so called "color families." For the 2011 model line, these families consisted of black, blue, brown, gold, gray, green, red, silver and white. It is worth-mentioning here that every color is not available for every model of car, however, and specific colors within each family receive their own individual names.
Red
This is supposed to be an ever-popular color for sports cars, and comes in different flavors at Chevrolet. "Victory Red" is available on the Aveo5 hatchback and the Cobalt coupe. The Corvette coupe and the Volt, Chevy's electric car, can be decorated out in "Crystal Red Metallic Tintcoat."
Silver
In "Silver Ice Metallic” there are several cars are available, including the Camaro, Malibu sedan and Volt.
Blue
The blue colour for Chevrolet is available in metallic, as either "Imperial Blue Metallic" on the Malibu or "Jetstream Blue Metallic Tintcoat" on the Corvette. The Aveo5 offers "Bright Blue" as one of its color options, but this color has limited availability, according to Chevrolet.
White
The models like Volt and Malibu are decorated by “White Diamond Tricoat” that are also available in “Summit White”.
